May 2005 – May 2010: Stringer for L.A. Times in Denmark

April 2005: B.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern Denmark

June 2000: Graduated high school from Rysensteen Gymnasium

August 1987 – June 1997: Pupil in the English department of Bernadotteskolen

Other interesting facts:

– I was born in Beirut in 1981, but moved to Denmark in 1985

– I speak Danish and English fluently, an ok German and hopefully soon a lot of Arabic

– I love (in no particular order) Yves Saint Laurent, baking cakes, ducks, arguing with my younger big brother, watching 80’s chick-flicks, F.C. København – and zombies

– I have actually read ‘War and Peace’

– I was awarded  ‘Honorary Mention’ by the Anna Lindh Foundation for the article ‘Equality in the Name of Islam’ published in Information 8. March 2006
